The organic swine research program at the West Central Research and Outreach Center (WCROC) continues to grow. On September 1, Yuzhi Li, University of Minnesota swine behavior and welfare faculty started a new project titled “Integrating hybrid rye as a winter cover crop into organic pig production.” The goal is to tackle the challenge of high costs of feed and bedding in organic pig production.
